Support for same-sex marriage change over time

As I mentioned more than a decade ago on this site, Mormons made a terrible mistake in their stance on same-sex marriage. They have always been decades behind on moral issues like racism, sexism, and the like. When they dig in for a fight rather than change with society's enlightenment they offend members, lose members, and receive a negative image from non-Mormons.

Perhaps this nice graphic in the New York Times will give them pause for thought. (Make sure to hit the play button.) Do they want to be the only ones left mired in bigotry?
